9月10日 suck master 2000that´s what i prefer to call this doomed site...
I´ve decided to go back to my roots... the Oldcountry as they see. The damned americans censor my writings, and they keep changing the URL. I´m fed up. So i´ve started a blog at another site...
So thats it. So long sucka! 8月4日 i´m alive!!!Oh my god!!! It speaks!!!
Those were the thoughts running through my head when I started this entry. So basically I wanted to let everyone know, that i´m still alive.
Hope everyone is doing well. I know that Hulda just had her baby, and that the mæðgs (that means mother and daughter in icelandic) are doing fine. I plan on giving those two a look later this month, on one of the VERY few days off i get this summer. It will be nice... I might give the little girl a check up, since I am now in charge of giving the 6 week check up in Laugarás.
Who knows... I might ask the mother first ;)
But that, I guess is the most major thing that has happened since I last blogged. And no small feat.
In other news, Magni keeps on pseudo-rocking, the world is still on a High Way To Hell and basically the we´re all total shite.
And one more thing... I´m thinking of changing bloggin sites... I hate that damn microsoft is always changing up my address...
A year ago it was spaces.msn.com/members/eggerte... 2 months ago it was changed to eggerte.spaces.msn.com and now it apparently is eggert.spaces.live.com... Im getting pretty fed up with all these changes... But hey, that´s just me... And now, just to go over the top, they changed to look of the site, without asking me! Bastardos... Plus, their themes suck....
I´m thinking the address eggerte.bloggar.is... might be good...
I´ll be in touch with y´all
ps.
coming up is probably the largest traveling weekend of the icelandic summer (if we can call it that)... And guess what... I´m on call... So, happy thoughts all... 7月18日 I love living in Iceland...I just got in, from a round of golf, with my brother. We only managed 4 holes, but shot off about 25 balls at the range first...
I actually won, by 1 stroke!!! Can you believe that? My first round of golf, and I won. We started at about 22.15, ended at around midnight. Name me one civilized country that you can play a round of golf, starting at 23.00, and still see everything.
The other thing is that just now, I saw the headlines at mbl.is. First one, international: Israel keeps blowing up Lebanon, a situation that G.W. called "shit" today at the G8 summit. The next was domestic: Someone stole a really big gas-grill. I love my country.
later y´all,
oh yeah, I´d like to draw attention to gusti´s blog, which handles the complicated issue of when you can hit a woman. You might say, that one can never hit a girl, but Gusti throws out a nice scenario... take a peek (icelandic only... sorry) 7月15日 So life goes on...So... life goes on, as most of you probably fully expected.
No reason not to, I guess. The rain here in Laugarás is constant. The wind is blowing. No tourists. Nothing to do. Just got a call from a mother, who is worried her son has pneumonia. I hope that´s not so, but I´ll take a look at him. The way things have been going this weekend, that child is likely to be my only patient today.
But away from the depressing stuff.
Last weekend I went camping with some of my friends. Unfortunately I forgot my camera, but I didn´t forget the beer. Thankfully. We (i.e. Me, Stebbi, Atli, Karen, Guja, Maja, Hjalti, Dagga, Bragi and Mainstone) went to Reykholt to visit a friend of ours, Bryndís. To make a long story short the trip was amazing.
I thought that when we would arrive, it would be windy, probably raining (taking into account how the sky was looking at the time). We would probably be stuck eating dorito´s and beer for the night. But NOOOOOO. When we came, Bryndís had decorated a table in her garden, in which we put up our tents (some took a bit more time than others ;o) ), and then we feasted for a couple of hours. My obligatory hamburger was not faraway from perfect. Then we sang, in the company of Bryndís´s father, Geir Waage. Excellent guy... talk about the surprise of the trip!!!
So, as the night went along, the singing got a bit tired. So we went for a swim. Sat in the hot tub, or jacuzzi until I think about 7am, at which time the cops arrived. In the back of their car was Mainstone, drunk out of his mind, and smiling like Jack Nicholoson in Shining. He, by the way, got in monday´s newspapers for his behaviour. The headline: "Einn í sundskýlu á einum sokk" or "Alone in a swimsuit and a sock" says it all. So he basically walked half way to Borgarnes, on the side of the highway, only to be picked up by the cops. Apparently he couldn´t remember his birthday!
So, all in all it was a great trip, although my vindsæng (any translations???) could have been better.
So, thanks guys for a great time... it was excellent.
That just reminds my that Fjallaklúbburinn Íþróttavindlarnir need to get together ASAP, although a new arrival is expected shortly ;o) 6月30日 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!I had no idea, that when I started this blog, almost exactly one year ago, that I would be sitting in my own office, a doctors office no less, curing people of diseases.
On june 28th, two days ago, this site celebrated it´s 1st birthday. In this year I posted 60 posts. Not alot I know, but around 1 a week, slightly more acually.
The following year, I hope will be more fruitfull.
And I am proud to announce, that I will be taking a drive through Europe next spring, so if anyone want´s to join me on an epic roadtrip through europe... please be in touch. There are 3 seats up for grabs...
